Hello, my Crafty friends, I hope you had a fantastic week! I decided to take a break from organizing my craft room to do something creative. I had previously organized all my paper strips and decided I needed to actually use them on cards. Do you have a ton of scraps to use? If so, I hope this inspires you to get them out and use them up; the results of using all those paper strips made me oh so happy.
Let the creativity begin. I grabbed my newly sorted scrap strips and went down a rabbit hole that lasted 16 hours. Every time I started a new set of strips....another idea came to mind. I was definitely in the zone. Here are some of the results:
All you need is your scraps (I use 1/4", 1/2" 3/4" and 1" strips), glue and cardstock for your base (You may want to use the entire 8 1/2" x 11 page or you can cut the base down to card size to glue them on. Then just let your imagination take over. This is a great way to use scraps but it also helps to put colors together that you might not have thought of previously. After you have glued your strips down, run them through the embossing machine in your favorite embossing folder. It gives the piece an entirely different look. Here are a few more card fronts that will be made into cards:
