I hadn't made a gift card design like this one and had a lot of fun making it.
There are a lot of parts and pieces to this card but if you follow the instructions below; it will be so easy!
Supplies Used to make this card:
Heartfelt Hellos Sale-a-bration (Free with $50.00 purchase)
Basic White Cardstock
Cardstock Measurements:
1. A full sheet of Moody Mauve cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" take one piece and score at 4 1/4" (This gives you a basic A2 card). Place the folded card in the trimmer with the TOP LEFT corner in cutting groove; then line the BOTTOM RIGHT corner in the cutting groove and cut the angle to give you the triangle shape. Save the pieces cut from the card base.
2. With the remaining piece (5 1/2" x 8 1/2") of Moody Mauve cut on the
8 1/2" side (long side) at 6 1/4"; then score that piece on the 6 1/4" (long side) at 1" and 2". First score line is a mountain folder, second score line is a valley fold.
3. Take a full sheet of Basic White cardstock and cut three (3) 5 1/4" x 4" pieces of cardstock. Take one of those pieces and cut from TOP LEFT corner to BOTTOM RIGHT corner giving you two angled cuts. Take the second piece of Basic White carstock and cut one (1) die shape (I used the 3rd smallest die for the basic white) Use the remainder of the basic white cardstock to stamp flower images. The 3rd piece will be used for inside of card.
4. Cut two pieces of Bubble Bath cardstock at 7/8" x 5 1/4", cut another piece of Bubble Bath to 5 3/8" x 4 1/8", from the center of that piece cut a die shape (I used the 4th smallest die)
5. Cut two (2) piece of DSP from the Poetic Expressions DSP to measure 3/4" x 5 1/4"
6. Cut one piece of Poetic Expressions DSP to measure 5 1/4" x 4" (It is important to note that if you are using a directional DSP you will need extra DSP) Take that piece and cut from TOP LEFT corner to BOTTOM RIGHT corner. Giving you two angled pieces.
7. Cut 18" of Moody Mauve Ribbon.
Stamping and Coloring
1. Stamp your Greeting in Moody Mauve on the Basic White Shape
2. Stamp your Flowers in Momento Tuxedo Black and color with Stampin' blends. (Cutting Tip: Cut two if coloring with blends so you can glue a clean one on the back of the colored image as the edge does show.)
3. Stamp you inside greeting on the correct basic white triangular shape in Moody Mauve
Please note the placement of the ribbon. This ribbon is placed between the basic white layer and the bubble bath layer and wraps around the card to tie a bow on the right side of the card. (See first pic)
ASSEMBLY:
1. Glue all your DSP to correct cardstock. (See Pics)
2. Glue your Bubble Bath Cardstock mat to the Basic White cardstock to inside of the 5 1/2" x 6 1/4" piece. (scored at 1" and 2")
3. Add your strips to the 1" scored pieces. (Bubble Bath and lighter DSP)
4. Glue your stamped verse on the inside of the triangle (see pic)
5. Take the triangle piece of Moody Mauve and DSP and place glue only on 2 edges so that you will have a pocket to place the gift card in. (See Pic)
6. Take the Basic White and DSP Triangle and place on the front of the Triangled card base.
7. Glue Triangle card base to the 1" strip (lining to the first score line from the left)
8. Place the Bubble Bath Shape on card (see pic)
9. Using Dimensionals add the Greeting to Bubble bath shape but before you do this, run your ribbon around card making sure it is even so you will be able to tie bow.
10. Add flowers and tie bow! You DID IT!
