Angled Tri Fold Card

Published on 22 January 2024 at 09:00

Hello everyone!  I hope you had a crafty weekend.  I spent the entire weekend in my craft room and it was great to get creative again.  Todays card is an Angled Tri-Fold Card.  I used a Free Salabration DSP called Softly Stippled (162975) and the Thoughtful Expression Bundle(162822) Page 61 of the Mini Catalog on today's card.  I love how this turned out.  I embellished the card with Brushed Brass Butterflies(158136).  Below are the instructions to make this sketch.

Supplies Needed:

Pebbled Path Card Base:  5 1/2" x 11" scored at 4 1/4" and 8 1/2"

Calypso Coral Card mats: (2) 4" x 5 1/4

Softly Stippled DSP 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"

Angled Mat (Calypso Coral): 2 1/4" x 5 1/4"

Angled DSP (Softly Stippled):  2 1/8" x 5 1/8"

Basic White Inside:  3 7/8" x 5 1/8"

Softly Stippled DSP for Envelope 2 1/8" x 6"

Softly Stippled DSP scrap for inside card

Pebbled Path scrap (for focal point)

Calypso Coral scrap (for focal point)

Pebbled Path Ink

Versamark Ink

Clear Embossing Powder

Brushed Brass Butterflies

Thoughtful Expression Stamps and Dies

Tombow Glue

Stampin' Dimensionals

Step 1- Cutting

Cut cardstock and DSP as listed above.

On the Pebbled Path Card Base: from 8 1/2" score line make a mark at 1".  Then cut from the mark to the bottom right corner for the angle.

On the Card base panel that folds towards the angle cut piece, cut 1/16" off so the panel will lie flat.

On the Angle mat make a mark at 7/8" cut from mark to bottom right corner.

On the Angle DSP make a mark at 3/4" cut from mark to bottom right (ensuring your pattern is in the right direction.)

Use the Thoughtful Expressions Dies to cut a mat and stamping piece the size of your choice to go with your greeting.

Fussy Cut a scrap piece of DSP for the inside of the card.

Step 2 - Stamp and Emboss

Stamp your sentiment in versamark and pebbled path then add clear embossing powder.  Heat set the setiment.

On the inside of the card (right panel) stamp the hummingbird

Stamp verse on inside panel

Step 3 - Glue Pieces to Card Base

Glue all the pieces to the card base as shown in pictures above.

What did you create?  I would love to see what you are making!

Here is what I am currently working on....my grandson's Valentines Day Treat for school.
