Mini Desktop Calendar Holder for 2024

It is getting to be that time of year again....you know that time where we are all making little gifts for friends and family.  How about a mini desktop Calendar holder that holds a regular sized Post It Note pad and mini pen then doubles as a calendar all year long?  Sound good.....great....let's get started!


Measurements and Instructions:

Base CS: 3 3/4" x 10 1/2" scored at 1/2", 1 1/2", 2 1/2" and 6 1/2"

 

Pocket CS:  4 3/4" x 7" scored on short side at 1/2" on each side then scored on long side at 2 1/2", 3"  THEN scored at 5 1/2" only to the first score line; flip cardstock and score at 5 1/2" only to the first score line.

Step 1:  BASE CS

Fold on score lines at shown starting with the 1/2" section as mountain, then valley, mountain and finally mountain fold.  Burnish all score lines. Then corner round the top of the base as shown in the picture (on the left).  Add tear and tape as shown in picture.  Then, adhere the base as shown in picture below to create the triangular stand.

 

Step 2:  POCKET CS

Fold and burnish all score lines.  Then cut and miter as shown in picture (right top).  You will need to cut away (on both left and right pieces and then corner round the top.  Corner round the larger DSP piece as shown in picture and adhere it to the pocket as shown (where the DSP is added is considered the back of the pocket.).  Add Tear and tape to the front inside flaps, Fold in the little tabs and add Tombow glue  and adhere the tabs to the back flaps.  Add the remaining DSP to the front of the pocket then place your calendar on top of that.  Add glue to the back of the pocket and match the rounded edges together and you are done!
