Hello, my crafty friends! I hope you have had a fantastic week. The weather here was amazing!!! I spent most of the week outside exploring the great outdoors with the grandkids. So today I thought I would explore the possibilities with Stampin' Up's! Gone Fishing Bundle. As soon as I saw this set, I knew I had to have it. Not only for the unique fishing stamps but the Happy Retirement Sentiment is one that my collection lacks. The Designer Series Paper (DSP) Let's Go Fishing (Reminder: This DSP is part of 15% off sale June 1st through June 30, 2023) also matches the fish dies, so bonus there! The annual 2023-2024 catalog gives great examples of this set on pages 78 and 79. There is also a matching 3D Embossing Folder called Twisted Rope.

First, I used Misty Moonlight and my blending brush to ink the edges of the DSP and Boho Blue on the Very Vanilla Mat 2 to give a water effect. I stamped my sentiment in Misty Moonlight. Next, I stamped in Versa mark three (3) fish and two (2) lures and embossed in Silver. The fish I used Crumb Cake stamped off to fill in fish. The lures I used Boho Blue. Then, I used my Stampin' Emboss Machine to cut the fish, lures and sinkers.
I used Stampin' Dimensionals for the sentiment, first looping the twine behind it. I knotted the bottom and added the sinker and lore and to the top I added another sinker and lore.
Gone Fishing Fun Fold - Card 2
Note: I changed my mind on the fold halfway through designing the card. So If you have 12 x 12 Boho Blue you can cut your base to be a continuous piece of card stock.
Boho Blue Card Base 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"
Boho Blue 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (two pieces) score one (1) piece in half at 2 1/8" the second piece will be used for the tackle box.
Boho Blue 1" x 5 1/2" scored at 1/2" use to attach Boho Blue scored piece to the right side of the card.

Wild Wheat Lure: Cut strips up to the score line, spritz the cardstock with water and roll the cardstock and glue togethe,r then wrinkle up the strips to make it look like a lure. Add a silver sinker to top of lure.

Great make and take today Laura! I loved using the Gone Fishing bundle. The projects you selected were awesome!! Not only were they timely for Father’s Day, they were also useful for other celebrations as well. The retirement card was especially helpful for me. AND when you showed how this bundle could be incorporated with past stamping up sets, I was amazed. Great incorporation!!
